Maria Theresa moneyclip

Vintage money clips are very collectible and impressive items for everyday usage.
Money clips are great gifts as they are impressive converstion pieces and get noticed as jewerly when used to hold bills.

This money clip is based on the 1780 Maria Theresa Silver Thaler (Dollar) was originally struck in Austria from 1740 to 1780 and was the currency of the Austrian Empire. The silver thaler was very important for trade and was the most popular silver coin in the Arabian world. The front of the coin is a portrait of the mature Empress Maria Theresa. The inscription "M. Theresia D.G.R. Imp. Hu. Bo. Reg.  The reverse shows the imperial double-headed eagle with the arms of Austria at the center, surrounded by four quarters representing Hungary, Bohemia, Burgundy and Gaznzburg. The inscription reads "Archid. Aust. Dux. Burg. Co. Tyr. 1780x.
